Having optimal oral health and function of your teeth means you’ll enjoy them now and well into the future. It’s important to assess and address any issues as soon as possible for effective, efficient treatment utilizing advanced technology for oral and aesthetic happiness.
Restorative dentistry is important to improve the overall functionality of your teeth for added protection against possible damage in the future. Missing or badly damaged teeth are transformed through a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns and bridges are tooth-shaped prosthetics that help protect and strengthen a tooth or teeth that are damaged by decay or broken. A crown, most often made of porcelain, metal, or both, is created at our office to fit your mouth perfectly to help bring back full bite functionality and jaw movement.
Bridges are effective in replacing missing teeth and maintaining facial shape. They’re usually constructed out of gold, porcelain, alloys, or a combination of these materials. Bridges are bonded to existing teeth for sturdy support that restores even the most badly damaged smile.
Both crowns and bridges can completely restore your look for an impression that lasts.
Don’t let the thought of wearing dentures get you down. We can help fit you with a customized, natural set of teeth that look and feel great. Trade Winds Dental offers full, partial, and implant-supported dentures for an improved smile that’s comfortable and confident.
If traditional dentures aren’t the best fit for you, consider All-on-4 dental implants as an alternative. Using only four implants, this option provides a same-day solution that offers more stability than regular dentures. There’s no slippage, problems with chewing, or dental adhesives necessary – just a commitment to a healthy smile.
Missing teeth can spell disaster for your mouth. Dental implants are perfect for helping to bring back your bite and full grin. A titanium implant becomes the new tooth root, while a crown is cemented on top for a completed look that looks natural. Implants can also be used to anchor dentures for added security and comfort.
Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, decay and cavities happen. That’s when fillings are key to making sure no further damage occurs for continued strength and reliability. We use durable materials such as gold and porcelain fillings in the back of the mouth where chewing is paramount. Ceramic and tooth-colored composite fillings that offer a more natural appearance can be used on front teeth that are more visible.
Dr. Winegar’s dedication to comfort and personalized care makes Trade Winds Dental a trusted resource for restorations and more.

Take your teeth to the next level with dental bonding. This quick and reliable technique involves adding a white filling to the tooth surface to create a natural, healthy looking smile free of gaps and discoloration.
Usually completed in one office visit, bonding is effective on both the front and back teeth. It is susceptible to chipping and staining, but we can take care of you quickly and easily. Ask us about the benefits of dental bonding at your next visit. Your smile will thank you!
Veneers are closely related to bonding, but they have a much better chance at resisting future chips and stains from the foods and drinks we consume. We place thin pieces of sturdy porcelain over the front side of existing teeth for a natural look to enhance even the most damaged teeth.
Maintenance is similar to regular teeth cleaning with routine flossing and brushing with non-abrasive toothpaste. Talk with Dr. Winegar about how veneers can help your smile looks its very best.

TMJ and Occlusal Disease
There’s so much more to a healthy smile than just simply treating teeth. Many patients struggle with jaw pain, headaches, muscle stiffness, and so much more. Symptoms like these can be a sign of a deeper rooted issue such as Occlusal Disease and TMJ.
Occlusal Disease means there’s a misalignment of the teeth that’s extremely destructive to oral and even overall health. When teeth are line up correctly, muscles in the jaw are able to withstand forces associated with chewing. But when things do not line up correctly, this harmful imbalance can lead to big problems with the teeth, muscles, jaw joint individually – or a combination of all three.
Common Occlusal Disease symptoms include:
- Tooth cracking, breakage, sensitivity
- Enamel wear and gum recession
- Loss of bone support and muscle pain
- TMJ symptoms
Similar to Occlusal Disease, Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) can some of the same symptoms, causing pain and discomfort that’s debilitating for many patients. Oftentimes, these symptoms go undiagnosed or are thought to be signs of another issue.
The truth is, our temporomandibular joints (TMJ) that connect the lower jawbone to the skull are put to good use each day by means of speaking, chewing, and swallowing – that’s a lot of work! When there are problems within this area, they can be a true sign of TMD.
Common TMD symptoms include:
- Jaw pain and clicking during movement
- Painful, ringing, and/or stuffy ears
- Frequent headaches and neck pain
- Locked jaw or limited opening of the mouth
- Facial swelling and muscles spasms in the jaw
Any of these symptoms you see here are worth mentioning and exploring with Dr. Hennington. In order for your teeth to look and feel their best, we need to make sure you’re healthy everywhere else too.
Don’t suffer in pain!

We provide the latest technology and techniques to all of our patients for dental care that’s efficient and effective. By keeping equipment up-to-date, we’re able to continue to offer our patients additional comfort and ease during every visit to help make your time with us stress-free.
Digital x-rays are easy to read, simple to achieve, and expose patients to far less radiation than the traditional x-ray technology of the past. We enjoy having the ability to quickly share the results with patients to assist with creating a treatment plan that’s right for you!
Smile… you’re on camera. Our intraoral cameras are truly the best at providing us with the most detailed, in-depth look at what’s really going on inside your mouth. Teeth become the star of the show as we’re able to easily detect cracks, cavities, and deterioration for early detection. The intraoral camera is small and non-invasive too – no wide-angle lense necessary.
Our team takes pride in caring for our environment, which is why we utilize an amalgam separator. It’s extremely effective at keeping amalgam, or silver fillings containing mercury, from entering our wastewater supply and sewer system. Oftentimes while doing restorative work or removing these kinds of fillings, small bits of the metal are flushed out and into the water system. The separator ensures the water is debris free and clean.
Thanks to this specially-designed laser and water technology, our patients enjoy less anxiety and more comfort during restoration procedures and cosmetic treatments. This safe and highly effective device is used by dentists all over the world to provide accurate and efficient treatments for patients of all ages. Want to know more? Ask us about it at your next exam.
We’re always ready to make a lasting impression and it’s easier than ever with the TRIOS 3 IntraOral Digital Scanner. In the beginning stages of the restoration process, it’s quite common that patients will need to have an impression taken of their teeth, which can be unpleasant. This amazing piece of technology does the job quickly, capturing more than 3,000 images per second, making your time in the office even shorter. When it comes to impressions, comfort is key.
Same Day Crowns
In the past, fixing a broken tooth was a long, arduous process. You had to take those gross, goopy impressions, have the tooth get prepared and have a temporary crown put on. THEN you’d have to wait for the lab to make the permanent crown, send it back to the dentist, hope that it’s the right fit, and have another appointment to get numbed up and have it put in. Yikes.
Who has time for that?
We’ve had patients tell us for years that they’ve avoided getting a broken tooth repaired because of the clunky, long process of creating a crown. Well, not anymore. Your Georgetown Dental office is now equipped with CEREC technology – giving us the ability to create your crown right here in the office, in one visit.
NO, we’re not kidding.
No more goopy impressions, no more waiting and having to come back. We’ll take digital impressions for 3D, full color imagery to match your teeth down to the exact color and style. Then our CEREC uses CAD/CAM technology to mill your crown in a matter of minutes, and we can go ahead and place it in your mouth right away.
So no more excuses! Get that broken tooth repaired in one visit, and get that confident smile back. Call us today to find out if same day crowns are right for you!
